Overview
HKL-4402 Rotational Viscometer for Asphalt Viscosity conforms to ASTM D4402 Standard Test Method for Viscosity Determination of Asphalt at Elevated Temperatures Using a Rotational Viscometer. This test method outlines a procedure for measuring the apparent viscosity of asphalt from 38 to 260°C [100 to 500°F] using a rotational viscometer and a temperature-controlled thermal chamber for maintaining the test temperature.
Features
1. Utilizes ARM technology with a built-in Linux system. The operation interface is simple and clear, enabling quick and convenient viscosity testing through the creation of test programs and data analysis.
2. Accurate viscosity measurement: Each range is automatically calibrated by computer, ensuring high precision and minimal error.
3. Comprehensive display content: In addition to viscosity (dynamic viscosity and kinematic viscosity), it also shows temperature, shear rate, shear stress, percentage of full-scale measurement value (graphical display), range overflow alarm, automatic scanning, maximum measurement range under the current rotor speed combination, date, time, etc. Kinematic viscosity can be displayed when density is known, meeting users' diverse measurement requirements.
4. Complete functionality: Supports timed measurement, creation of 30 custom test programs, storage of 30 measurement data sets, real-time viscosity curve display, printing of data and curves, etc.

11. The measurable range is extremely wide, from 50 to 80 million mPa·s, capable of handling various high-viscosity, high-temperature molten samples (such as hot-melt adhesives, asphalt, plastics, etc.).
12. When equipped with an ultra-low viscosity adapter (Rotor 0), it can also measure the viscosity of molten samples like paraffin wax and polyethylene wax.
13. Widely applied in medium to high viscosity industries including paints, coatings, cosmetics, inks, pulp, food, oil products, starch, solvent-based adhesives, latex, biochemical products, etc.
