HKL-659 Autoignition Temperature Tester

Overview

HKL-659 Autoignition Temperature Tester conforms to ASTM E659 Standard Test Method for Autoignition Temperature of Chemicals. A small, metered sample of the product to be tested is inserted into a uniformly heated 500ml glass flask containing air at a predetermined temperature. The contents of the flask are observed in a dark room for 10min following insertion of the sample, or until autoignition occurs. Autoignition is evidenced by the sudden appearance of a flame inside the flask and by a sharp rise in the temperature of the gas mixture. The lowest internal flask temperature at which hot-flame ignition occurs for a series of prescribed sample volumes is taken to be the hot-flame autoignition temperature of the chemical in air at atmospheric pressure. Ignition delay times (ignition time lags) are measured in order to determine the ignition delay-ignition temperature relationship.

Features

  1. This instrument is manufactured in compliance with the ASTM E659 standard and represents leading production.

  2. The instrument uses a precision K-type thermocouple (NiCr-NiCr alloy) for temperature detection and is equipped with an imported digital display PID temperature controller to ensure accurate and high-precision temperature control.

  3. The heating furnace is a key component of this instrument. The furnace chamber is made of a special green silicon carbide material, offering high temperature resistance and durability. It is equipped with imported high-temperature heating wires, which have undergone pressure reduction treatment to extend their service life. The furnace lid is made of advanced heat insulation, heat preservation, and insulation materials, ensuring the handle remains cool even at the highest internal temperatures. A built-in fan ensures uniform temperature distribution within the furnace chamber.

  4. A unique flask clamping device prevents breakage during testing, making operation safer and more convenient.

  5. The instrument is equipped with an adjustable viewing mirror on top, allowing flexible positioning for easy observation by the operator.

FAQ

  1. Q1: What standards does this product (HKL-659 Autoignition Temperature Tester) comply with?

A: HKL-659 Autoignition Temperature Tester conforms to ASTM E659 Standard Test Method for Autoignition Temperature of Chemicals. This test method covers the determination of hot- and cool-flame autoignition temperatures of a liquid chemical in air at atmospheric pressure in a uniformly heated vessel.

  2. Q2: The working principle of HKL-659 Autoignition Temperature Tester?

A: A small, metered sample of the product to be tested is inserted into a uniformly heated 500ml glass flask containing air at a predetermined temperature.

  3. Q3: The significance and use of HKL-659 Autoignition Temperature Tester?

A: The instrument can be used for solid chemicals that can melt and vaporize or easily sublimate at the test temperature. No condensed phase (liquid or solid) should be present when ignition occurs. It was primarily developed for liquid chemicals, but can also be used to test easily vaporized solids.

  4. Q4: Can we access remote training for your instruments?

A: Our commitment to your success goes far beyond sales. We offer comprehensive remote installation and commissioning support, along with in-depth operational training for your team. Furthermore, our end-users enjoy 24/7 online training and assistance to ensure your equipment continues to operate efficiently.

  5. A: Once the goods are shipped, we will provide a waybill number/bill of lading number and a tracking link. You can track your goods in real time through the official website of the courier or logistics company, or you can contact our customer service.
