Analysis of Food Additive

Overview

This solution conforms to the GB 1886.169 Food Additive — Carrageenan. This standard applies to the food additive carrageenan, which is produced from red algae (Rhodophyceae) through extraction with water or alkaline solutions and subsequent processing. The product is a mixture of the three basic types: K (Kappa), I (Iota), and X (Lambda).

HKL-1886 FTIR Spectrometer for Food Additive Testing

Features

  1. Highly stable optical system: The optical bench adopts an integrated design with monolithic mold forming, where key components are positioned in a single alignment process without requiring adjustment. This significantly enhances instrument stability and completely resolves maintenance challenges associated with traditional optical structures.

  2. High-performance electronic system: Equipped with the latest 24-bit A/D converter and a 500 kHz A/D conversion speed, combined with an imported high-sensitivity infrared detector, it achieves real-time spectral data acquisition, ensuring data authenticity and reliability. Coupled with the latest USB 2.0 communication interface, data transfer rates are significantly improved, allowing sample testing to be completed in just seconds.

  3. User-friendly humidity protection design: Featuring a sealed interferometer design with quick humidity status recognition, this system reduces maintenance workload for operators. A visible color-changing indicator alerts users to replace the desiccant in a timely manner, addressing the most critical risk factor in FTIR operation. Desiccant replacement can be performed without opening the instrument cover.

  4. Core components imported from the Developed countries in Europe and America: All critical parts—including the light source, detector, beam splitter, and die—are originally imported, guaranteeing premium quality.

  5. Software Features:

    i. User Interface: English-language operation interface with quick-access shortcuts for commonly used tools, ensuring user-friendly navigation.

ii. Spectrum Processing: Practical and easy-to-use tools for peak labeling, spectral subtraction (arithmetic operations on spectra), smoothing, and other functions.

iii. Quantitative Analysis: Equipped with peak height and peak area measurement tools to support infrared quantitative research.

iv. Spectral Library: Features include spectrum library addition and spectrum search for efficient data retrieval, along with a built-in library of common chemical compounds for reference.

    v. Printing Interface: Customizable print-ready interface allows users to directly print results after measurement without additional data processing.

Test Method and Configuration

  1. KBr tablet Method: This technique involves grinding the customer's sample and diluting it with potassium bromide (KBr), followed by compression using a hydraulic press to form a tablet. The tablet can be directly analyzed without demolding. Key advantages include superior sample preparation quality and cost-effectiveness.

  2. Technical Parameters
