Overview
The apparatus conforms to ГОСТ 981 Mineral oils. Method for determination of oxidation stability. This standard applies to the determination of oxidation stability of transformer oils, turbine oils, and other petroleum products using the BTI method, which characterizes their ability to resist oxidative effects of atmospheric oxygen at elevated temperatures. The primary indicator is the ability of the oil to form water-soluble acids at the initial stage of aging. If the oil fails this test, its overall stability is not determined.
