Overview

HKL-2908 Apparatus for Oil Content of Petroleum Waxes conforms to the ISO 2908 Petroleum waxes - Determination of oil content. This method is designed to determine the oil content in microcrystalline wax as well as mixed crystalline wax having a congealing point above 30°C and the oil content less than or equal to 15% (mass basis). But the oil can only dissolve up to a certain point in methyl ethyl ketone. Hence, when the waxes have oil content of more than 5%, the formation of two liquid phases may be brought about, complicating the analysis. In such cases, this technique cannot be applied to the sample.

  4. It features a wax oil evaporation chamber. It keeps the temperature at 35±1°C which is room temperature. This is done with the help of a digital PID temperature controller. Also, light tubes which are mounted at the bottom are used for better clarity of the observation.

  5. The evaporation chamber has a flow meter, with which you can adjust the gas flow rate in real-time by turning the control knob.

  6. With the use of a compressor cooling system, the device can be quickly cooled down after starting, and the evaporator unit ensures a stable, ample, clean, and dry air supply.
