Overview

HKL-6278 Apparatus for Shear Stability of Polymer Containing Fluids conforms to ASTM D6278 Standard Test Method for Shear Stability of Polymer Containing Fluids Using a European Diesel Injector Apparatus. This test method evaluates the percent viscosity loss for polymer-containing fluids resulting from polymer degradation in the high shear nozzle device. The thermal or oxidative effects are minimized.

  1. Real Bosch diesel injection pump with nozzle and atomizer housing.

  2. The nozzle is an axial type made by Bausch, while the nozzle bracket includes a filter cartridge.

  3. The spherical flask for cooling has a cooling jacket through which heat is transferred via the surface of the wall of the jacket.

  4. The liquid flow meter controls the flow rate. The digital display of this device is showing the value: 170 cm³ ± 5 cm³/min.

  5. Auto-stroke counter that also powers off automatically.

  6. 250 cm³ reservoir with liquid charging inlet at the top.
