Overview

HKL-0300 Thermo-Oxidation Engine Oil Simulation Tester conforms to the SH/T 0300 Crankcase Simulation Test Method (QZX Method). This instrument simulates the lacquering of crankcase oil on piston surfaces by splashing additive-containing internal combustion engine oil onto high-temperature metal surfaces. It also simulates the corrosion of engine components by the oil under gas-liquid phase oxidation conditions by suspending lead sheets in the oil tank of the test engine. The thermal oxidation stability of the oil is evaluated by assessing the lacquer rating and deposit weight on the metal plate.

After running 250 ml of the test oil under specified conditions in the simulator for 6 hours, the formation of lacquer and deposits is tested.
