The brightness property of the heat treatment oil is determined by evaluating the surface condition of the quenched specimen using colorimetric analysis.
Features
There are three major parts that make up this instrument: the main unit, the supply of purified ultra-high-purity nitrogen gas, and the electronic control unit.
(1) This unit consists of a tubular heating furnace, automatic sample-holding actuator, nitrogen inlet, cooling water inlet/outlet, oil bath, and gas flow meter. To ensure stable operation, heat-resistant stainless steel has been used to make the critical components, automatic timer and automatic sample notification upon the preset test temperature have been employed as the features.
(2) The electronic control unit comes with an automated sample alert function, PID temperature controller, a temperature sensor, solid-state relay, overload protection, circuit and controls-indicators.
This instrument features an integral monocoque structure with a unique design allowing maintenance operations to be carried out very easily.
The temperature controller is the control hub of this product. The device is equipped with an imported digital PID temperature controller that allows for very precise temperature control and high control accuracy. The temperature signal captured by a K type thermocouple is handled by the temperature controller’s internal processor and electronic circuit to produce a control signal. This signal is then sent out to carry out the heating control process. The whole system is a closed-loop control system that allows very accurate constant temperature control.
The device heats with the help of an electric heating wire at rated current, thereby enabling a quick temperature increase as well as maintaining heating element life at a maximum level.
This instrument works on a 220V AC power supply, which is controlled by switching the contacts of a solid-state relay (SSR). As the SSR does not have any mechanical contacts, it completely stops the generation of sparks during its operation; hence, it guarantees intrinsic safety and no electromagnetic interference with other electronic devices. Moreover, the SSR is very small in size, lightweight, and its performance is stable and reliable.
The timer launches the precise measurement and at the same time triggers the automated sample injection when the preset sample temperature is reached. (There is also a manual actuator verification mode to carry out operational checks.)
