Overview
HKL-2386 Automatic Freezing Point Apparatus conforms to ASTM D2386 Standard Test Method for Freezing Point of Aviation Fuels. This apparatus covers the determination of the temperature below which solid hydrocarbon crystals may form in aviation turbine fuels and aviation gasoline. This instrument adopts a split-type structure, divided into a refrigeration unit and a testing unit. It features a dual-compressor refrigeration system, providing fast and efficient cooling. With its simple structure, aesthetically pleasing design, and compact size, this instrument is ideally suited for laboratory use.
Features
This instrument uses a dual-compressor refrigeration system, which means that it does not require cooling water for circulation. Instead, it makes use of condenser heat dissipation and starts cooling right after being connected to power.
The digital temperature controller makes it possible to tightly control the temperature. To double-check accuracy of the controller and also to extend the compressor’s life, a secondary heating coil is provided. The system makes use of a Pt100 temperature probe that, apart from illustrating high temperature sensitivity, ultra-fine resolution, outstanding temperature control accuracy, enhancing anti-interference capability, and outstanding temperature control accuracy.
The feature of separating the refrigeration unit from the control unit in a split-type structure can provide the most convenient operation.
The cold chamber is equipped with a double-walled vacuum insulated bottle that offers outstanding thermal insulation and meets all the requirements of ASTM D2386.
The instrument adopts a double stirring method: the motor drives the stirring of the cooling bath, while magnetic force stirs the sample in a double-layered glass test tube.
For enhanced visibility, the testing unit is equipped with an illumination tube.
