Overview
HKL-566 Lubricating Grease Dropping Point Tester conforms to the ASTM D566 Standard Test Method for Dropping Point of Lubricating Grease. The apparatus determinates the dropping point of lubricating grease, which is not recommended for use at bath temperatures above 288°C. This test method is useful to assist in identifying the grease as to type and for establishing and maintaining bench marks for quality control.
Features
The instrument has an internal heating element that heats the grease cup, while the stirring method is motor controlled to keep the temperature constant and ensure rapid heating.
The voltage appears on a digital voltmeter and it is changeable by means of a control knob. Thus, the temperature is arbitrarily controllable.
