Overview

Dimethicone is a synthetic polymer with no color and transparent. It comes in different viscosities (from 5 cps to 8 million cps), going from highly fluid liquids to thick semi-solid forms. This product has a unique ability to make things smooth, soft and not wettable by water. At the same time, it has excellent chemical stability, is an outstanding electrical insulator, and is resistant to both high and low temperatures. With a very high flash point and very low freezing point, this fluid can be used continuously especially when the temperature goes from -50 degrees Celsius to 200 degrees Celsius. It also features a small viscosity-temperature coefficient, a high compressibility factor, low surface tension, good water repellency and moisture resistance, together with low specific heat and thermal conductivity.
