Overview
HKL-2668 Infrared Spectrometer for Anti-Oxidant Additives conforms to the ASTM D2668 Standard Test Method for 2,6-di-tert-Butyl- p-Cresol and 2,6-di-tert-Butyl Phenol in Electrical Insulating Oil by Infrared Absorption and GB/T 7602.3 Determination of T501 oxidation inhibitor content in transformer oil or turbine oil—Part 3: Infrared spectroscopy method. The HKL-2668 Infrared Spectrometer is intended to measure the amount of T501(2,6-di-tert-butyl-p-cresol) as an antioxidant in transformer oil and turbine oil. The instrument is based on the fact that the presence of T501 leads to an absorption peak at 3,650 cm⁻¹ (2.74 µm) which is due to the O–H stretching vibration. The absorbance at this peak correlates linearly with the concentration of T501, so by using a calibration curve one can determine the mass percentage of T501 in the oil sample.

Highly Optical Stability: Incorporating a monolithically integrated optical bench in design, the optical elements necessary for the operation are fixed in position during just one alignment process. This way, the need for optical realignment or recalibration is removed, resulting in excellent measurement stability over time and the elimination of maintenance that is usually associated with conventional modular optical systems.
Precision Spectral Capture: The system combines a 500 kHz 24-bit analog-to-digital convertor and a high-sensitivity imported infrared detector, thereby providing precise and reproducible spectral acquisition at a moment’s notice. Besides, featuring a special high-speed USB 2.0 interface, it also supports quite quick data transfer which is sufficient for full spectral results to be ready in a matter of seconds.
Active Moisture Protection System: The system is in a hermetically sealed and isolated chamber. It has a humidity sensor and a visual humidity indicator. It actively stops moisture from causing performance degradation. Color-changing desiccant indicator gives regenerate alerts visually and by color change. This allows for quick desiccant change without opening the instrument housing.
Advanced design of corner-cube mirrors: The moving and fixed mirrors in our configuration are corner-cube reflectors that are single pieces of gold-plated metal.
