Overview

HKL-9050 FTIR Spectrometer for Glass Transmittance Measurement conforms to ISO 9050 the Glass in building — Determination of light transmittance, solar direct transmittance, total solar energy transmittance, ultraviolet transmittance and related glazing factors. This International Standard specifies methods of determining light and energy transmittance of solar radiation for glazing in buildings. These characteristic data can serve as a basis for light, heating and ventilation calculations of rooms and can permit comparison between different types of glazing. The scope of this International Standard covers both traditional glazing units and the solar-control glazing units which absorb or reflect the solar rays that are used as glazed apertures. Appropriate expressions for single, double and triple glazing are given. Also, the overall calculation methods for multiple components units are set up.

A simple visual sign changes its color to indicate when it is time to replace the desiccant—it is the top risk that FTIR analysis is trying to eliminate. Without having to open the instrument casing, one can even change the desiccant.

Unitary Corner Mirror Technology: Introducing gold-plated mirrors into both moving and stationary optical paths inspires this combination to fetch highest luminous flux and reflectance from the design. The instrument constructed with no adhesive does not revert to changes in ambient temperature and so has improved inherent stability.
