HKL-8288 AAS for Determination of metal elements in water quality conforms to the ISO 8288 Water quality — Determination of cobalt, nickel, copper, zinc, cadmium and lead — Flame atomic absorption spectrometric methods. This International Standard specifies three methods for the determination of cobalt, nickel, copper, zinc, cadmium and lead in water by flame atomic absorption spectrometry.

Section one: method A, for direct determination by flame atomic absorption spectrometry.

Section two: method B, for determination by flame atomic absorption spectrometry after chelation (APDC) and extraction (MIBK).

Section three: method C, for determination by flame atomic absorption spectrometry after chelation (HMA-HMDC) and extraction (DIPK-xylene).

  6. Autosampler

    1) Sample tray arrangement: Has room for 130 sample cups (2 mL), 6 × 25 mL cups for stock solutions, blank solutions, and matrix modifiers, also 500 mL wash and waste bottles.

    2) This feature provides an option for random arrangement by allowing sample and reagent cups to be designated freely. After completing the program settings the system can be operated for fully automated analysis.

    3) Automated Preparation of Calibration Curves: Automatically prepares at least three standard solutions of different concentrations from a single stock solution and directly injects them into the graphite tube. (On-line dilution function is not available.)

    4) Minimum amount of injection volume: 1µL (0.1µL increments), maximum injection volume: 100µL (with analysis precision over 1% for 10µL–100µL range).

    5) Automatic long-term memory of syringe position with 50μm precision.

    6) Graphite tube orifice fine adjustment range: > ±5mm.

    7) Completely automated standard addition method, support up to 20 standard samples.

    8) Wash mode: Carry out internal and external washing at the same time with wash time and cycles configurable.

    9) Automatically starts the graphite furnace heating program after all solutions are injected.
