Overview
The HKL-80A Fully Automatic Headspace Sampler is a versatile machine that offers several choices for the detection of volatile organic compounds in various fields, such as environmental monitoring, food safety, packaging manufacturing, pharmaceuticals and consumer goods, etc. It transforms into a reliable assistant for analytical labs and research departments.
Features
Standard 80-position sample tray (optional 40-position tray).
Each of these 3-axis motion platforms can provide high-speed and precision positioning.
In all, 10 heating stations can hold several samples for simultaneous heating and even one sample can be heated while other samples are being heated, thereby further reducing the waiting time.
Heating the stations back and forth aims to help the samples get to equilibrium faster.
One reason why the analysis became even more accurate may be a temperature controlled needle that would avoid the sample from condensing on the walls of the needle and vial.
The instrument has a very useful feature of adaptable sample sequence management system that enables the user to change the analysis priority based on the sample urgency.
Capable of performing multiple injections with a single sample during method development and research support activities.
Safety features include a system self-test when the device is powered on, fault alarm and fault remedy, temperature overload cutoff, and leakage current protective. Such features are readily available.
Sample transfer and injection with sampling needles which are made of non-reactive materials, is probably one of the safest ways to avoid sample adsorption and loss.
Identification of built-in gas route and sample container leakage.
An interface that is graphical, along with PC control of the instrument, allows one to monitor the instrument status and the sample progress at a very personal level.
As far as time is concerned, its opening of operation was aligned with those of GC and chromatography data processing workstations. Besides, it was also made possible to have two-way communication with GC. Also the system still supports native instrument interfaces for those imported, and besides gives a possibility to connect with GC/GC-MS systems.
The system has an audit trail feature that records the headspace analysis techniques and conditions in very fine detail.
